Lahjavida Bio Presents New Preclinical Data at AACR Annual Meeting 2026

May 1, 2026

Lahjavida Bio announced the presentation of new preclinical data on its proprietary Dye-Drug Conjugate (DDC) platform at the AACR Annual Meeting 2026, which brought together approximately 27,000 researchers, clinicians, and industry leaders from around the world focused on advancing solutions to cancer.

The presentation highlighted Lahjavida’s novel small-molecule, dye-based targeting approach designed to selectively deliver cytotoxic therapies to tumors while minimizing systemic toxicity. The company’s DDC platform utilizes heptamethine carbocyanine (HCC) dyes, which are taken up by tumors through organic anion transporting polypeptides (OATPs), known to be overexpressed across multiple cancer types.

Data presented demonstrated strong tumor-targeting capabilities, including significant tumor growth inhibition and sustained tumor suppression in xenograft models. Importantly, sustained tumor regression observed in these studies suggests the potential for meaningful therapeutic efficacy as the program advances into future clinical trials. The platform also showed favorable safety characteristics, with minimal intrinsic toxicity in normal tissues and limited off-target accumulation. Additional findings highlighted the versatility of the platform across multiple payloads and its potential to improve the therapeutic index of existing cancer treatments.

“These data represent a meaningful step forward in our mission to redefine targeted cancer therapy,” said Lyle Small, Founder and CEO of Lahjavida Bio. “Our DDC platform demonstrates the potential to deliver potent therapies with greater precision, while improving the balance between efficacy and safety.”

The AACR Annual Meeting is one of the premier global forums for cancer research, showcasing advances across drug discovery and translational science. Lahjavida’s presentation marks an important step in advancing its platform toward clinical development.
